These custom lake maps are a beautiful way to commemorate a special cottage, lake house, family property, or favourite getaway destination. They make a thoughtful gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings, and more.
Each lake and text is engraved into the wood. The lake is filled with epoxy resin, which sits slightly below the surface of the wood to showcase the natural contours of the engraving, while the lettering is hand painted for added contrast. Signs are crafted from ambrosia maple and finished with a durable hardwax oil. A walnut upgrade is also available.
Measuring approximately 18” x 12”, the layout and orientation of each sign are determined by the shape of the lake to best maximize the overall design. Because of this, wood grain direction and sign orientation may vary from the example photos shown.
